๐ Mongols
Overview
The Mongols are a cavalry archer civilization focused on mobility, speed, and aggressive warfare. Most of their bonuses fit their nomadic background.
This version introduces a Tent System to make them unique, mobile, and balanced.
Strengths
Cavalry Archers attack +25% faster, giving strong ranged output.
Light Cavalry +20/30% HP, improving durability and raids.
Mangudai: Accurate mounted archers effective against siege weapons.
Weaknesses
Cavalry units have low pierce armor, making them easier to kill with archers.
Lack of strong static defense or durability.
Proposed Fixes
๐ Tent System
All Mongol buildings are built 50% faster.
Replace Barracks, Archery Range, Stable, and Siege Workshop with tent variants that train units 2ร faster.
Walls and Castles stay available.
Effect:
Allows Mongols to build forward bases close to the enemy and produce units extremely fast, encouraging a mobile, aggressive playstyle that matches their historical warfare.
Design Reasoning
The Mongols should win through mobility, coordination, and fast deployment, not static siege spam.
The Tent System lets them build and produce units quickly near the front, keeping pressure constant.
Together, these changes make the Mongols a fast, aggressive civilization that overwhelms opponents through speed and precise timing rather than heavy fortifications.
Trebuchets must correctly target buildings before any change can be applied.
