For years, experienced players have raised serious concerns about the balance and design direction of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
Many of these discussions — especially detailed or critical ones — have been repeatedly removed or locked on the official forums and Steam community hub, often by the same moderator.
Posts containing long, structured arguments have been deleted under claims of “spam” or “trolling,” while comments with personal insults have been left untouched.
After multiple bans and even an IP block, it became impossible to share constructive feedback through official channels.
Efforts to contact Microsoft Support and Steam Support confirmed that moderation and developer decisions fall under the AoE2 team’s authority, and appeals would not be reviewed.
Because of this, FixAoE2.xyz was created — an independent, community-driven platform to preserve feedback, encourage open discussion, and advocate for improvements to the game’s balance and design.
This site isn’t about anger or personal conflict.
It’s about ensuring that feedback from dedicated players is documented, visible, and taken seriously — without censorship or bias.
